Hi, I’m Laura, owner of Blackmoon Maine Coons.

I’ve loved cats for as long as I can remember, but I completely fell in love with the Maine Coon breed because of their incredible personalities, intelligence, and gentle nature. As a single mom to two amazing sons with unique challenges, animals have always been a huge source of comfort, love, and happiness in our home.

Before starting Blackmoon Maine Coons, I spent years researching the breed and searching for healthy, well-bred cats with strong pedigrees and excellent temperaments. After unfortunately experiencing scams and dishonest breeders myself, I knew I wanted to create something different — a cattery built on honesty, communication, health, and genuine love for these animals.

I welcomed my first pedigree Maine Coons from Europe in 2021, importing beautiful lines from Germany, Poland, and Russia to build the foundation of my program. Since then, Blackmoon Maine Coons has become something I pour my heart into every single day.

My cats and kittens are raised inside my home as part of the family. They are constantly handled, loved, and socialized to help them grow into affectionate, confident companions. Health, temperament, and quality are extremely important to me, and I work hard to give every kitten the best possible start in life.
